Volunteer Work and Community Involvement

Volunteer work is an important part of what we do at Green Distributors. Here are some of the ways that we give back to our community.

"Don't judge each day by the harvest you reap but by the seeds that you plant."

-Robert Louis Stevenson

Wasatch Community Gardens (Volunteer Work)

Wasatch Community Gardens is exactly what it sounds like. They provide the local children, adults, and families with access to garden space and education about growing healthy and organic produce at home.

If you would like to learn more about them and their mission and support what they do, you can find them here.

“Alone, we can do so little; together, we can do so much.”

–Helen Keller

67 Blankets for Nelson Mandela Day

A local group of knitters called the Knit Wits have committed to collectively donate 100 beanies to the charity organization 67 Blankets for Nelson Mandela Day in South Africa. This group donation includes items made and contributed by Abi Townsend from Green Distributors.

All items donated to this organization are distributed to those in need in South Africa on Nelson Mandela Day.

If you enjoy knitting and would like to donate items or money to this charitable organization, you can find them on Facebook here.

We ourselves feel that what we are doing is just a drop in the ocean. But if that drop was not in the ocean, I think the ocean would be less because of that missing drop.

-Mother Teresa

Matthew 25: Ministries Pill Bottle Program

Empty pill bottles are regularly collected and prepared for shipment from Green Distributors to Matthew 25: Ministries.

This pill bottle program includes these donated bottles along with other medical supplies packaged into shipments. The shipments are sent to help improve medical care in developing countries. Because these pill bottles are being reused, it also helps our environment.

If you would also like to collect and send empty pill bottles to support this program, you can find out more detail on their website here.
